About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

In these terms, “CipherBlade”, “we” and “us” mean CipherBlade LLC and its affiliated companies.

No engagement until agreed in writing

Using this site, or booking or attending a consultation, does not create a client relationship, an engagement or an expert retention. We are engaged only when we have agreed the scope and terms of the work with you in writing.

Please do not send information you are not prepared to share before an engagement is in place. We treat what you send as confidential, but sending it does not oblige us to take on a matter.

Paid consultations

Consultations are booked and paid for through Calendly, which takes payment through Stripe. The fee covers the call itself: an investigator listens to your situation and explains the options. It does not include any investigation, report or follow-up work, which needs a separate written agreement.

You can reschedule or cancel using the link in your booking confirmation. Consultation fees are not refundable, including for missed calls. If we have to cancel, we offer you another time.

Information on this site

The content of this site is general information about our services. It is not legal, financial, tax or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own circumstances.

Examples, figures and interfaces shown on the site are illustrative unless stated otherwise. They do not describe any real matter, party or outcome.

No guarantee of recovery

Blockchain analysis can show where funds moved and who may hold records about them. Whether funds can be frozen, seized or returned depends on many factors outside our control, including the actions of courts, law enforcement and third parties. We do not guarantee the recovery of any funds.

Be wary of anyone who guarantees recovery. CipherBlade only contacts people from email addresses ending in @cipherblade.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. In particular, you agree not to:

• submit information that is false, or that you have no right to share
• impersonate CipherBlade or any of its people, or use our name or marks to mislead anyone
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it, or interfere with how it works
• copy, scrape or reproduce the site’s content at scale, by automated means or otherwise, without our written permission

Intellectual property

The site, its content and the CipherBlade name and bird mark belong to CipherBlade or its licensors. You may view the site and print or save pages for your own reference. Any other use requires our written permission.

Links to other sites

The site may link to sites run by others. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties about it and are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

How we handle information you send us is described in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States, and any dispute about them belongs to the courts of Alaska, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
